LME-Supporting Facilities

	Auxiliary Power Generator The Auxiliary Power Generator consists of an MAN Type D 2866 LE Diesel engine coupled to a AvK Type DKBN 49/300-4 kW AC generator. Engine rated speed is 1500 rpm and generator output is 265 kVA@50 Hz.
	It serves the dual purpose of a laboratory unit for student experiments, as well as, a standby generator capable of supplying the needs of the Building in the event of a temporary blackout.
	Workshops Several Workshops support the experimental facilities. A Machine shop (photo) with lathes, milling-machine, metalworking and welding equipment can supply tailor-made parts. An Electronics workshop can built specialized instrumentation and support all the experimental equipment.
